Irish & Chin: "Need For Some Universal Changes In Clash Industry"

Over at the Irish & Chin blog, soundclash super-promoters Irish & Chin reckon that the clash world needs a big rocket under it if its going to survive.

"During the month of April, I have called a meeting of three of clash industry’s promoters. This meeting will be video taped and air on different websites around the world. Each promoter, including me, will address topics that are hurting the growth of the clash arena. Together, we will try to find solutions for the industry’s existing problems."

The last few years have seen the soundclash side of reggae fall out of favour with many fans finding the scene to be stagnant and feeling sound systems are clashing for the money and not the passion. Some promoters claim that staging sound clashes has become almost impossible because of popular sounds demanding high payments, leaving the shows financially pointless for the promoters.
